Business tycoon and multi-billionaire Elon Musk claims he plans to buy Premier League powerhouse Manchester United.
Tesla's CEO shared his intentions via a tweet on Tuesday evening.
"I'm also buying Manchester United so you're welcome," Musk wrote after tweeting about his political beliefs.
It's unclear whether Musk is serious about buying a world-renowned soccer club — but there's no doubt he has the capital to do it.
The eccentric billionaire is the richest man in the world with an estimated net worth of $270.1 billion, according to Forbes. Manchester United has an estimated worth of about $4.6 billion.
Manchester United Plc is the property and ownership group that currently controls the football club, led by co-chairmen Joel and Avie Glazer.
This possible change of ownership would be another key in an already chaotic start to Manchester United's 2022-23 campaign.
