Among the many golfers and PGA Tour legends who have had some harsh words for the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Series and its players,

few have been as direct as Fred Couples. The golf legend returned this week to further hype the startup league and its CEO, Greg Norman.

"I've done a lot of great things in golf, maybe I've made people watch the game, but I'm not changing the game,"

Couple said when asked about LIV Golf's claim that it was changing the game. "All these guys think they're changing the game,

and to me, it's comical, really comical," Couples said from the PGA Tour Champions in Calgary. "Having music on every shirt

and people drinking beer and thinking it's cool." He added: "I never thought the cast and crew who would do it would be boys."

As for what happens at LIV Golf tournaments, Couples said he won't try to control the rankings. "I don't really care if they win or lose,"

Couples said. I am 62 and I am playing the Champions Tour, but it is a bit heartbreaking. Go do what you do.
