Golf World reacts to Tony Finau's victory on Sunday
Tony Finau has a reputation as a hard-luck loser on the PGA Tour, but he picked up his third tour win this weekend.
Finau won the 3M Open in Minneapolis and closed the tournament with a final-round 67 on Sunday to shoot 17 under.
He finished three shots ahead of Emiliano Grillo and Im Sung-Jae.
The victory was Finau's first on the PGA Tour since the 2021 Northern Trust. His first PGA Tour win came at the 2016 Puerto Rico Open.
Finau is more than $1 million richer for his efforts. Not surprisingly, he's also getting a lot of love from the golf world.
Finau is widely regarded as a talented player and all-around good guy who doesn't yet have the win totals.
Hopefully, for his sake, he can keep adding to his trophy case.
