Greg Norman revises his earlier comments toTiger Woods on LIV Golf's offer When is $700 to $800 million and not $700 to $800 million? Earlier this month,

Greg Norman mentioned a financial offer LIV Golf made to Tiger Woods to join a breakaway golf tour. In several interviews,

Norman said Woods was offered between $700 million and $800 million to come on board. And while this is an absurdly large amount of money, the golf tour has a lot of Saudi money behind it.

Except, for now, Norman went back to his earlier remarks. As Golf reports, Norman spoke to Fox Sports Australia last week and clarified his earlier comments.

"I just want to make sure, to be clear, the numbers that were thrown out included the future value of the franchise," Norman said in an interview.

He further claimed that "the generational wealth that this franchise opportunity has for individual players is incredible."

In other words, Woods was offered less money upfront. What was the actual amount Woods offered? This is unclear. "That's the way it is. It's not a monetary value.

Norman has effectively confirmed the $700-800 million figure in previous interviews, so it's unclear what led to this clarification
