Henrik Stenson explains LIV Golf change and reacts to loss of Ryder Cup captaincy

Henrik Stenson has confirmed he will join the Saudi-backed LIV Golf series 

and says he is "disappointed" to lose his European Ryder Cup captaincy as a result of his decision.

Stenson was stripped of his captaincy on Wednesday amid speculation he was set to join the breakaway

leaving European preparations in turmoil ahead of September's game in Rome.

The 46-year-old Swede, who previously claimed the European captaincy was a "dream" and insisted he was "fully committed" to the team,

Stenson, who won the Open in 2016 and is a two-time European Player of the Year,
