James Harden's contract negotiations with the Philadelphia 76ers are dragging on a little longer than expected,

NBA insider Chris Haynes says negotiations with Harden are "in a good place."

Harden is reportedly willing to accept a team-friendly deal to try to give the Sixers flexibility to build a better roster.

Negotiations with James Harden are "still ongoing" and are in a "good place."

The negotiations are the result of a joint effort between Harden, Morey,

Harden's business partner Lorenzo McCloud and Michael Rubin. Both sides are optimistic that the deal will close soon,” Haynes said.

James Harden joined the Sixers  in a blockbuster trade with the Brooklyn Nets last season.

They expected him to be a superstar, but he ended up as a third-round pick alongside superstar Joel Embiid and rising star Tyrese Maxey.
