John Cena returned to Raw to celebrate his 20th anniversary with WWE. Despite this appearance,

it sounds like fans will have to wait for him to make another title. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter,

Cena will "almost certainly" not appear at SummerSlam later this year.

Meltzer pointed out that Cena is not advertised for any future shows. This is a strong indication that WWE is not expecting a match from Cena.

It was certain that Cena would face the Austin Theory. After all, the latter called out in an off-air promo.

Unfortunately, this is not the case. Of course, this is devastating news for fans who wanted to see Cena at SummerSlam.

Cena has been a fan favorite in the WWE Universe for nearly two decades.

The prize will ultimately be used as a marquee pay-per-view. It makes too much sense.
