Lee Westwood left the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf. The former world number one has been candid from the jump about her decision to sign with the Saudi-backed league.

spoke about the rift between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour. Westwood didn't hold back when addressing the PGA Tour's reaction to the sudden emergence of LIV Golf.

"Lee Westwood laughs about what the PGA Tour players have come up with,". “It's just a copy of what LIV is doing. There are a lot of hypocrites out there, Westwood said.

Everyone says LIV is not "competitive". Everyone points to the LIV aspect without the cut and the short fields.

Now, oddly enough, they are proposing 20 events that look a lot like LIV. Hopefully, at some point, everyone will choke on their words. And hopefully, they'll be held account

Golf fans aren't thrilled about Westwood ruining the PGA Tour. "I'm really disappointed Lee, you're chasing money when you don't need it," 

Westwood, 49, said his age played a role in his decision to sign with LIV Golf. "Obviously my age was part of my decision-making process," he said.

“Then there's the fact that LIV tournaments are 54 holes, not 72. I saw that as an advantage. I also looked at the schedule of tours for seniors.
