In an unusual move that provides additional funding for the FOSS project, the KDE organization is selling hardware under its own brand.

A notable example is KDE Slimbook, which has just launched two models of the fourth generation Slimbook IV.

The Slimbook IV's specs are similar to the Tuxedo Pulse G2 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with eight cores and 16 threads.

The processor frequency ranges between 1.8 GHz and 4.3 GHz depending on the load and there is 8 MB of cache memory.

The integrated Vega8 GPU runs at a frequency of up to 1.9 GHz.

have two DDR4 SODIMM slots and can take up to 64MB of 3200MHz memory,

and also have two M.2 slots for up to 4TB of NVMe storage. They have both integrated gigabit

Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6 for a maximum speed of 2.4 Gbps, plus Bluetooth 5.2.
