LIV Golf Rebels Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka Furious Over Denial of World Ranking Points

Rivals Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka may not have always seen eye-to-eye on the golf course,

but they agree that the Official World Golf Ranking must decide whether to award LIV Golf members ranking points.

On Wednesday, the Saudi Arabian Series formed a "strategic alliance" with the lesser-known MENA Tour to qualify for points ahead of their weekend event in Bangkok.

In response, the OWGR issued a statement on Thursday confirming that a request for points in Bangkok and Jeddah later this month had been rejected and was under investigation.

Former US Open winner DeChambeau finished in a tie for eighth at the last LIV Golf event in Chicago last month,

but was not awarded any ranking points for his result but was struck in the eye by the course's marker rope. The American was ranked fourth in the world last year.

but has now fallen to 48th after joining the LIV Golf Series and risks missing out on qualification for next year's majors.
