Nasser Hussain praises star giving England "another dimension" after a big win in New Zealand
Nasser Hussain praised all-rounder Sam Curran after England beat New Zealand to keep their T20 World Cup hopes alive.
England comes into Tuesday's match after two rain-affected matches that saw a shock DRS defeat to Ireland and a draw with Australia.
Jose Buttler's side, therefore, knew they had to beat the Kiwis at the Gabba to stay in the competition, thanks to a 20-run victory.
A host of big-name England players came through, with captain Buttler making 73 off 47 balls and his opening partner Alex Hales collecting 50 of 42.
With the ball, Mark Wood, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, and Liam Livingstone all played their part in reducing the damage caused by New Zealand's stellar batting.
However, it was Curran who caught the eye of Hussain, who himself proved instrumental in stifling the Kiwis' chase,
Hussain also praised captain Buttler, not only for his remarkable performance with the bat but also for playing the role of captain at crucial moments of the match.
