American star Patrick Reed has vowed to go one shot at a time at the weekend's $25 million LIV Golf Invitational Jeddah, presented by ROSHN,
in a bid to go 1-2 for 4Aces GC behind captain Dustin Johnson in the season-opening final standings.
Reed finished second to Eugenio Chacarra at the LIV Golf Invitational Bangkok last weekend, confirming Johnson as the 2022 individual champion with an unbeaten 121 points.
Reed's performance moved the 2018 Masters champion into third place in the standings with 76 points - just three behind Branden Grace and 20 ahead.
Speaking at the weekend in Saudi Arabia, the final individual event of the season, Reed said: “It's always in the back of your mind whenever you play in any tournament,
you're always thinking about what the results are going to do to a sure thing. But really, the only thing this week is to focus on each day and try to play good golf.
If I go and play well, I'll take care of everything. He cares about the team. It cares about the individual.
You go out and play the best golf you can, and if you go out and play the way you're supposed to, everything else will take care of itself.”
