The 150th Open Championship begins Thursday morning at the historic Old Course in St. Andrews and one of the men

who will be teetering it off is a senior from California who has already won this major.

The guy I'm talking about is called Phil Mickelson. He is a left-hander who has won many times on Tour and has six major championship victories on his resume.

Lefty, as fans have called him for years, has been a shell of himself since his February appearance on the PGA Tour.

He was apparently upset with the Tour, which had earned him $94,955,060 in career earnings,

And wanted to join a Saudi-backed league run by what he called "scary.

Mickelson went into hiding after those comments and was not seen again until he made it to the inaugural LIV Golf event in London last month,
