For the second time in the 2022 NRL season, the Storm conceded a straight second half from the Warriors to win 24-12 at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland.

While the consistent Justin Olam surprised by opening the scoring, Marion Seve was a constant threat on the other side of the park.

Wings Dean Ieremia and Grant Anderson had strong games while Nick Meaney did a great job filling the very large gap left by Ryan Papenhuyzen.

That was of course before Meaney was forced off the field with a shoulder injury in the second half.

That prompted another position change with Tyran Wishart replacing him, but by then the clinical Storm had knocked the Warriors out of the game with a 24-8 buffer.

"It would be a cruel blow to lose Nick, he's been one of our best this year. I'm not sure how bad it is," Bellamy said.

"Our ruck was really good but we did it with little experience on the edges. Our whole back five is pretty inexperienced," he said.

Bellamy was quick to praise the efforts of his rebuilt back line.
